Eye doctor says...

Photobucket

You guessed it, back to patching Brooks right eye. This is way better than what the eye doc wanted me to do. She wanted me to put eye drops (Atropine) in Brooks eye for three days in a row, once a month, for six months. This would make the right eye dialate for three weeks. Blurry. This shit is used for lots of things and could make a heart rate go bonkers if too much drains down her nose. Doc said to plug her tear duct. Make sure she doesn't drink it too. What? Are you kidding me? Yum, no thx. Hub's said to ask my buddy Bob about it. I did and he has used them with his son but he gave me a great plan for the patching instead. Brook is allergic to tape and bandaid type stuff. Her skin will blister and turn bright red. (We tried patching last year and this is how we found out.) Brook can only have paper tape. Anyway, the idea is to put some Mallox around her eye and let it dry. This make a barrier from the sticky. IT WORKS!!!! No red blisters.

But as you can see, keeping the patch on is another story....LOL. Had to resort to taping the patch on. She kept in on for maybe a half hour. Then she ripped it off....uggg. I'm pleased to report that she did keep her patch on for two hours last night and has it on again this morning w/ no complaints. I hope this works to make her left eye stronger :)

We strolled through the farmers market yesterday as well. Brook and Mary were trying to convince the Momma they needed a new kitty. I told them no. They already have a little dog who is the size of this kitty, what on earth do I need a kitten for. Mary is going to ask her dad tonight i'm sure if she can go get one and keep it there. Good luck with that Mary...LOL.

Thats all I have. Boring Sunday. It's HOT!!!! MOst likely headed back to the water park today. Mary and Dad have gone there everyday. Hub's is the driver and Mary is the watcher and player. They have a great time. Great sensory skills there.

Hope you'all have a great week. Peace out!!
