This is Brook and her Bestest Buddy Rachel Colmann. Rachel is from Signing Time. Signing Time, I can't say enough good things about ST. Brook's language, reading sight word ability, everything, has been b/c of this woman. (and Alex, Leah and Hopkins tooo ;) ) Brook is 2 y 10 mth old and knows ALOT of stuff. She knows hundereds of signs/words. She can read sight words. She knows all her colors. She can count to ten. Alot of things that I was told she wouldn't/couldn't do untill much later. (Dumb doctors don't know everything! ) Brook has been called a super star in the Ds community. Hmmm? I'm not sure I like that term much. Brook is Brook and just happened to pick these things up pretty quick. Smarty, I can handle that better ;)
Here is the reason for my boasting about Brook and ST. Signing Time used to be on public television. Any takers??? I'm working on a letter right now to send out to everyone I can think of who might help out. Any sugestions?
