With a fork of corse :)
As some of you may have noticed I had to delete the last post about Mary and the going's on lately. Can't say why as of yet, let's just say the judge probally wouldn't of liked that but rest assured, she is still here and safe.
What a week. Meetings, school changes, and of corse storm chasing. While we wait for the transition to her new school she has some time off. Trying to make a little vacation out of this adventure, we decided to go to the coast.
OMGoodness, the news said it was windy, topping 90 mph winds, but I thought for sure it was a fluke. It wasn't. I have NEVER in all my 34 years of going to the coast, seen waves like this. They were HUGE. The wind was blowing so very hard it was blowing the waves sideways. These pics don't do Mother Nature justice of the sheer power of this storm. It was amazing!!

I was up at 5am, outside being pelted by sand and rain.

By 7am, it was getting worse.

Mary begged the Momma to go to the water. She quickly changed her mind when....

The wind and sand were to much to handle. She is actually leaning into the wind and it's holding her up. Brook waited in the hotel room w/ Dad. She would not of been able to breathe in this wind.

The waterfall, blowing sideways as well.
We went to breakfast at Maxwells. Keno anyone? She won $4.00 :)

This kid LOVES gravy and sause. She had a nice breakfast in front of her. Eggs, hashbrowns, sausage, jelly toast, but of corse, she ate a bowl of gravy. What a silly kid :)

Then we went out shopping for some new school clothes and X-mas gifts. Just the three girls while hubby went to Chinook Winds. Lets just say, I gave him a small allowance and he paid for our whole trip and gave me his allowance back. Nice!!
When we got back to the hotel, we did some swimming and then, sence hub's was still winning, just the three girls went to dinner. Nice!!!
The waves, OMGoodness the waves, just kept getting bigger and bigger. We sat there watching the logs we sat on earlier in the morning be pulled out to sea. Scary. Now I know why all the signs say "Stay off the logs. Sneeker waves are dangerous" No kidding!

These are the logs I speak of. They were there....

And then they were gone.
