Woke up this morning to this. Oh Goodness gracious!!! Everything is shut down everywhere. Airport, bus/train station, stores, freeways, you name it, it's more than likely closed. Power is out to at least 45,000 poeple. People are stranded all over Oregon. It's quite sad. I wish I could help but I too am snow/iced in, again. Other states who get this snow/ice all the time are prepared for this. We, Oregon, are NOT!!!! We have not seen this kind of weather in 20 years. We don't have alot of ice trucks. We don't use salt on the roads b/c Portland is so environmently cautious of our rivers and animals. SO we deal w/ the frozen tundra. Frozen Tundra!!!! Another day at home playing w/ The Brookster. We have read every book in the house at least 100 times. I keep pestering dad to let Brook open a "snowed in the house" gift but he says NO! Bah humbug dad...LOL. Stay in and stay warm.
